Due to further planned expansion, this leading sensor technology developer is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for their R+D HQ near Böblingen. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for developing embedded software under Linux and bare-metal level software in C and VHDL for fibre optic-based sensor systems used in a variety of applications worldwide.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will work as part of the software team but will also work closely with the hardware development team.
Having completed your formal technical education, you will have gained post graduate development experience, developing software at hardware interface and embedded Linux software in C and VHDL. You will have experience with high-speed interfaces including PCIe, I2C, UART, JTAG etc and experience of working where hardware meets software is essential. You must speak fluent English and have intermediate German language skills.
The successful candidate can expect to find a friendly, flexible working environment where a work / life balance really does exist. Also on offer you will find an attractive base salary, 2 bonus payments per year and an extensive benefits package.
