Responsibilities

Join our R&D team as a Linux Software Engineer (all genders) and actively contribute to the development of new features of our product, allowing remote access, control,l and support. The position will report to the Team Manager, Software Development, and provides an excellent opportunity to create an impact and add value in an agile, modern environment.

• Support our developers by keeping our development tool chain up to date
• Maintain the build process in our team of multi-platform specialists
• Find optimization potential in our process and help reduce build times and keep our developers up to speed.
• Ensure that our software is stable and runs efficiently on many different systems (more than 2.5 billion installations)
• Monitor the latest technical developments in your area and make suggestions for improvements 
  
  

Requirements

• A university or college degree in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related subject
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of software development with a focus on Linux
• Experience in building tools like CMake, ninja, GCC, Clang, Autotools
• Programming skills in C, C++, knowledge of Python, and Groovy are a plus
• Knowledge of how dependency managers like Conan work
• Experience with version control tools like Git and a code review process with Bitbucket and/or GitLab
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Independent and structured work style
• Good knowledge of English and German (at least B2 level)
