The Opportunity

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, and supporting Azure-based infrastructure across Impact Level (IL) environments while ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient operations. This individual will support infrastructure automation, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline development to optimize the cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the cloud infrastructure within Azure IL2, IL5, and IL6 environments.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using BICEP.
  • Utilize GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Enterprise Server for secure and scalable version control and collaboration.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and infrastructure updates.
  • Support cloud security compliance by implementing security best practices in alignment with IL6 SRG requirements.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure efficient cloud operations and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize cloud performance and scalability while managing cost efficiency.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for cloud services and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct disaster recovery planning and implementation for cloud-hosted services.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud environments, architecture, deployment strategies, and security protocols.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance, eligible to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • Certification: Azure Administrator (AZ-104).
  • Certification: CompTIA Security+.
  • Extensive experience in Azure cloud administration and infrastructure management.
  • Strong understanding of BICEP for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Enterprise Server for secure development workflows.
  • Experience working with security configurations and compliance for IL environments, particularly IL6.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure and networking.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Desired

  • Experience with additional cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Automation experience using PowerShell or Python.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense cloud policies and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Understanding of cloud governance, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipeline tools.

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$82,100 - 172,400 USD
