Flutter Developer

to help us build and expand the core mobile apps that bring our stories to life

Job Description

As a Flutter Developer at CtrlMovie, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining our customer-facing mobile app as well as our tablet-based app for reading interactive scripts. These apps are central to how audiences engage with our experiences—both in the cinema and at home

You’ll work closely with our web services team to develop new features and ensure seamless backend integration. You’ll also collaborate with management, designers, and other developers to shape the user experience for hundreds of thousands of users

In this role, you will implement gamification features, e-commerce solutions, and contribute to the architecture of in-app media streaming in coordination with our game engine development team

We are offering a permanent position in Stuttgart, Germany, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week). Please apply in English, our company’s primary working language

What You'll Do

• 
  Develop and maintain our CtrlMovie Flutter-based mobile applications
  
• 
  Design and implement new features in collaboration with backend and design teams
  
• 
  Work with designers, management, and developers to define architecture and UX for new functionalities
  
• 
  Implement gamification mechanics and e-commerce flows
  
• 
  Collaborate with our game engine team to integrate in-app media streaming solutions
  
• 
  Write clean, maintainable, and modular code with performance and usability in mind
  

Qualifications

You’re passionate about mobile development and building user-friendly, high-performance apps. You enjoy solving complex problems and working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team

We’re looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

  Solid experience developing mobile apps using Flutter and Dart
  
• 
  Familiarity with platform-specific integrations (iOS/Android)
  
• 
  Experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integration
  
• 
  Understanding of UI/UX best practices and responsive design
  
• 
  Knowledge of app store deployment workflows (App Store / Play Store)
  
• 
  Experience with analytics, in-app purchases, or gamification features is a plus
  
• 
  Comfortable working in an agile, collaborative environment
  
• 
  A passion for storytelling, games, or film is a strong bonus
