The Opportunity
You can be a logistician just about anywhere, so how do you choose the right position? If you’re looking for the opportunity to build a legacy, solve difficult problems, and support the warfighter, the answer is a Logistics Exercise Plans Analyst at the U.S. Marine Corps. At the Marine Corps, you’ll find the dynamic challenge of answering logistics issues that allow operations to take place giving commanders time and space to make decisions. You’ll be a part of a fast-moving, high-impact team of fellow Booz Allen analysts who develop solutions for the ever-changing regionally based logistics requirements. As part of the team, your work will allow marines to move from concept to deployment without corroding momentum. This work ranges from tactical to operational and in many ways aids the organization during crisis, hostility, or war. There is no greater challenge than to understand requirements and assist the planning for exercises. Your work could shape future operations by informing current military exercises which build precious experience that save lives, time, and resources.
This analyst will conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and support staff planning and integration for the development of logistics exercise support plans. You’ll review crisis and contingency response concepts of operations and develop functional exercise plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and annexes to support the episodic deployment of Marine Corps forces in theater. You’ll support component-level participation in Combatant Command and service conferences, working groups, and exercises to align service capabilities and activities with Joint and service strategic objectives. Your work will aid the development of decision-support products to inform senior-leader decisions.
