Job Description: Senior Planner

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Senior Planner to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in planning, excellent command of Primavera P6 and MS Project, and a proven track record in driving successful project scheduling and execution. This position requires fluency in German as a mandatory skill to collaborate effectively with our German-speaking stakeholders and clients. Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project specifications, milestones, and deliverables.
• Conduct detailed planning, including resource allocation, cost forecasting, and risk analysis.
• Identify and manage critical paths and float within project schedules.
• Prepare and present detailed reports, progress updates, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
• Anticipate potential scheduling conflicts and provide effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all planning activities comply with organizational policies and align with client standards.
• Attend project meetings and provide expert guidance on all matters related to project planning and scheduling.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support future audits or analyses.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of professional experience in project planning, scheduling, or a related field.
• Expertise in using Primavera P6 and MS Project as advanced planning tools.
• Fluency in German (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage complex projects.
• Solid understanding of project management principles, critical path method (CPM), and resource leveling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  
  

Day-to-Day

• Develop and refine project schedules in collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Regularly review project progress and adjust plans to meet changing needs and priorities.
• Engage in cross-departmental coordination to ensure resources are appropriately allocated.
• Support project risk assessments and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Act as a primary point of contact for planning-related queries from clients and team members.
• Host weekly planning sessions to monitor progress, address challenges, and identify efficiencies.
• Produce and deliver detailed reports, including Gantt charts, performance metrics, and timelines.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate new methodologies into planning strategies.
