Working at Mileway

We offer an opportunity you simply won’t find anywhere else. Launched in 2019, Mileway has rapidly grown into Europe’s leader in last-mile logistics real estate, with a team of over 550 across more than twenty offices in 11 countries. From the start, Mileway set out to be a different kind of real estate company, with a cloud-based IT infrastructure and a team that combines local expertise with the pooled strengths of a pan-European presence.

Our culture is fast-paced and highly international, with team members from more than 50 countries, bringing diverse perspectives and a “can-do” attitude to everything we do. While we have already achieved a lot, we’re only just getting started – our purpose is to be Europe’s leading provider of last mile logistics real estate, enabling businesses to thrive, driving sustainability forward, and shaping the cities of tomorrow. To get there, we live by our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.

At Mileway, we believe company growth comes from supporting the growth of our combined capabilities. That's why we offer an in-house learning & development programme where personal, professional, and business development go hand in hand, helping you carve out your own unique career path. You'll be based in our Stuttgart office. While we embrace a flexible approach to work, our policy requires working from the office three days a week. To support this, we provide a state-of-the-art technology package to keep you connected at all times.

What you'll do

  • Support the implementation of asset management strategies for Mileway’s logistics and light-industrial portfolio in Stuttgart and the surrounding region.

  • Assist with new lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, lease amendments and lease surrenders.

  • Support the negotiation of commercial lease terms and coordinate with internal and external legal advisers to convert agreed terms into contractual documentation.

  • Monitor the commercial and operational performance of individual assets and identify potential risks and value-creation opportunities.

  • Conduct market research and analyse occupier demand, rental levels, vacancy and competitor activity.

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, business plans and asset management reports.

  • Carry out financial and commercial analysis to support leasing, investment and asset management decisions.

  • Help market vacant units, coordinate property viewings and follow leasing opportunities through to completion.

  • Support refurbishment, redevelopment and extension projects in collaboration with Technical Property Management, Development, Finance and other internal teams.

  • Build productive relationships with existing and prospective occupiers and develop a strong understanding of their business and property requirements.

  • Work closely with brokers, external property managers, legal advisers and other local market partners.

  • Help ensure that relevant property, leasing and customer information is accurately maintained in Mileway’s systems.

  • Contribute actively to team objectives and demonstrate Mileway’s values in your daily work.

What you'll bring

  • A genuine interest in commercial real estate and the logistics and light-industrial sector.

  • Initial professional experience through an internship, working-student position, graduate programme or junior role in asset management, leasing, property management, real estate consulting or a related field would be an advantage.

  • A relevant university degree in real estate, business administration, economics, finance or a related discipline; alternatively, relevant vocational training, such as Immobilienkaufmann/-frau, combined with appropriate professional experience.

  • Strong analytical, financial and commercial capabilities, with confidence working with numbers and property data.

  • A proactive and hands-on approach, with the willingness to take responsibility and continue learning.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external partners.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Fluency in German and good professional English.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.

Our vision is to be the number one gateway to urban communities. To get there, we live our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.
