The role of the Senior Expert IT License Management (m/f/d) is critical in aligning the acquisition of IT software with the strategic objectives of Exyte, i.e. manage the whole IT Sourcing / Contract lifecycle. As the primary liaison between the IT department and providers, this role is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with contractual and legal requirements. This role also encompasses the management of software licenses to ensure optimal utilization and adherence to provider agreements. In addition, the Senior Expert IT License Management (m/f/d) is tasked with managing contractual relationships, including negotiating terms, handling renewals, and overseeing termination processes.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery; align scope and requirements with internal stakeholders and negotiate commercial terms
• Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with providers, including contract registration, renewal, termination, and lifecycle compliance
• Review and analyze contract terms to identify risks, liabilities, data protection, and regulatory compliance issues
• Document sourcing decisions and maintain transparent audit trails throughout the procurement process
• Oversee software license management to ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure budget alignment, provide contract guidance, drive cost savings, and continuously improve processes
  
  

Show Your Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in IT license management or a comparable role
• Strong knowledge of IT license management processes, software licensing models, and relevant license management tools
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, with sound understanding of contract law, legal principles, and data protection regulations
• Solid holistic understanding of IT and related technology landscapes
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with a strong attention to detail and a data‑driven mindset
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, experienced in matrix organizations with geographically dispersed teams and a results‑oriented, ownership‑driven working style
• Fluent in English and German
