As a Lead Process Engineer Logistics Inbound and Outbound (m/f/d) with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotechnological process design, you will drive high-quality technical solutions and lead complex projects from early concept through final design or redesign.

In this role you will act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, ensuring excellence in process design, technical layouts and project execution. Your expertise will help deliver safe, compliant and future ready solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

You will work with a highly skilled team at our regional office in Bad Homburg or Stuttgart, Germany, where collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning are central to the way we work. Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead logistics process planning for inbound, automated warehousing, robotics, outbound, and intra-production logistics in biotechnological manufacturing environments.
• Manage all project phases and budgets, from feasibility and concept design through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and qualification.
• Assess customer requirements, develop concepts, provide process-level consulting, and present solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Create layouts and process flow diagrams, prepare technical and commercial documentation (URS, TS), and support equipment and IT software selection.
• Drive key technical decisions, design reviews, workshops, and risk analyses (HAZID, HAZOP) to ensure project performance, quality, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams and external suppliers, and lead or support Logistics Process Engineers during project execution, including move-in concepts for critical equipment.
• Develop and improve methods, tools, and solutions while promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and continuous learning across teams.
  
  

Show Your Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in consulting and engineering, ideally including logistics engineering projects.
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative approach in project environments.
• Deep understanding of logistics processes, strong IT affinity, and experience with transport and warehouse management systems such as SAP IM/WM or Insite LMS.
• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and 2D/3D layout modelling is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, combined with a resilient, detail-oriented, and independent working style; fluent in German and English.
• Strong ability to collaborate in international teams and willingness to travel up to 30%.
